It’s hard to believe that it was 105 years ago that the world first fell in love with Kewpie® character from the imaginative mind of Artist Rose O’Neill. These playful and quirky characters have since taken on a life of their own, carrying on the special creation that Rose started over a century ago.
Its funny to think these “cherub faced” characters were originally intended for comics. They’ve certainly succeeded in her intentions of teaching "people to be merry and kind at the same time." You can’t help but crack a smile when you see them and their trademark side glance and smirk.
Through the years Paradise Galleries has had some fun with Kewpie® products, everything from porcelain figurines to vintage looking Kewpies®! Year after year we try and innovate on these looks and offer Kewpie® collectors something fresh and fun to look forward to seeing in their homes!
Be on the lookout for some fun new looks for our 2015 collection! Here’s to another 105 years with Kewpie®!
With children social distancing and staying at home, it is so important, now more than ever, for them to find comfort in play. Play has always been a focal point for the development of children, and playing with dolls in particular has been proven to have many benefits for a child’s social and cognitive growth. Here are a few ways that dolls can help support our children during this time.
Now more than ever, we are committed to giving back to those in the elderly community who are being restricted from visits from their loved ones during this time. But we need your help! Read our blog to nominate a nursing home to which we will donate our dolls, bringing those in assisted care facilities love and companionship!
