Azuquita was named after the Spanish word for "little sugar"—a nod to the calaveras de azúcar, or sugar skulls, that decorate altars during Día de los Muertos. But to those who know her, she is more than sweet. She is a celebration of life, a gentle reminder that those we love are never truly gone.

Every year on November 1st and 2nd, families across Mexico and Latin America gather to honor loved ones who have passed. They light candles, prepare favorite foods, and build altars covered in bright marigolds and photos.
