OOAK (one of a kind) Doll - Approx. 20" tall. Santa's Coat is made to resemble a 'Crazy Quilt' design with faux fur trim along with just a tiny beaded trim along his hem line. He holds my handmade Lantern with Real Candle! His Sack is made from a brown Corduroy Fabric with wrapped Gifts inside. His boots are handmade of black suede. Santa has a sprinkling of Snow Dust to catch the light make him 'Sparkle'!
I handsculpt my dolls using clay that when baked, resembles fine porcelain. I diligently work on his expression so each one has his own character and appears ready to speak just for you ! His kind eyes are acrylic and his hair is high quality Mohair that I hand apply to give a natural look. Santa's body is hand made from metal rods, batting and wire, all encased in his cotton ' Union Suit' to give him a human form and I securely fasten to a wood base, for display. Each Santa is signed and numbered. This doll is ~ NOT A TOY ~
Message from the Artist:
** My Art Dolls offer all Original Qualities: HAND SCULPTED FACES, HANDMADE BODIES, HANDMADE TOYS AND ACCESSORIES. ALL ORIGINAL DESIGNS, NO MOLDS OR PATTERNS!
I've been in the arts since I can remember and having parents that were artists I grew up in a very creative environment. I've found my passion with sculpting my Santas after years of trying everything under the sun. My Santas feed my soul and it fills me with joy to have people feel the same when they see my work. My attention to detail has made my Art Dolls stand out among all other Collectibles. In today's 'disposable' world I take great pride in recycling forgotten and cast off fabrics, furs and Vintage supplies into each of my designs. My childhood Christmases were just magical and sharing my Santas keep them alive ! My work continually inspires me to reach new personal goals each day. I am very lucky to be living my dream! I handsculpt each Face with no molds, along with hands, which takes many long hours to get just the right expression. I want you to feel as if he is just about to say something to only YOU!
