Our sweet Children's Day doll was born from the free nature of a child's spirit. International Children's Day, celebrated annually on June 9th around the world, is a day to recognize and celebrate all children. Here at Paradise Galleries, we believe it's important to give back to the next generation. This is why for every Children's Day sold, we donate $10 to the non-profit Words Alive. Words Alive works with over 5,000 families in Southern California to ensure children in less fortunate homes are given access to books and taught how to read.
With International Children's Day around the corner, our team decided this was the perfect opportunity for us to continue our work with Words Alive to give back to the next generation.
Meredith and Jasmin, both integral members of the Paradise Galleries team, drove down to San Diego to visit the Words Alive office.
With them, they brought 3 Children's Day dolls and 15 books to donate to Words Alive. While there, they met with Sara and Christina, who work daily to ensure children in less fortunate homes have access to books and are taught how to read.
While Words Alive works with many schools, Sara recommended our donations go to the Lindsay Community School. This school is solely for expectant mothers and teenage parents who are striving to provide a better life for their children. We are thrilled these students and their children will benefit from our donations.
Here in the Orange County, CA, Headquarters, we are always looking for new ways to give back to the community and help those in need. We are proud to partner with Words Alive and help better the lives of the next generation.
