Julie Molloy is a self-taught doll artist. As a young girl, she made dolls from scraps of material and old nylons. She later discovered that when sculpting in clay, she could capture more realistic details. She has studied many babies and pictures, making sure proportions are correct and not a single newborn wrinkle has been left out. Julie is very meticulous about capturing the essence of a newborn baby. Family and friends eagerly supply her with real baby photos from which she gets her inspiration.
